Live each day to the Fullest 30 August 2008
It seems like I'm blogging lesser and lesser these days though I have all the time in the world. It's been a week since I started my hols and today is the most productive and fufilling day just as yet.
Waking up at about 9am, waking up at 12pm++ every other day. Christ Church Secondary School, the first stop of the day. Teacher's Day celebrations though it wasn't exactly one? ha. Didn't get to meet many teachers this time, and sadly, so many of the teachers we know have left or are leaving. From next year onwards, it wouldn't be much of a point for us to go back anymore, with the guys in NS and the girls working. Well, it was more of a catch up session between friends. Actually, it's always the usual bunch that catches up all the time.
Had lunch together at Vista Point. My... why do things change just so quickly. It's been ages since I went past there, and there, a big big church right beside Vista Point.
Town later on to print some pictures for my portfolio, buy some batteries for my cam walked here and there. Met the rest again, went on to Marina Square had some sort of dinner(ice cream?). And back to Woodlands Al-ameen we went.
Argh. What's with me!#$%^& I seem to be blogging about mundane stuff. No pictures, lazy to post, lazy to take. Such a slacker now. =X blah!

Day 2 of my official break and I haven't really done anything productive besides painting shoes and doing a shoot last week. It's also hard to get my friends out because they're on attachment, if not working.
Deep within me, I know, I really want to meet up with my friends that I haven't met for years but somehow, this tasks seems so hard when everyone is busy and I'm not(for the moment). It saddens me when friends you cherish so much don't take the time off or try to meet you. And that brings me to consider if that friendship is one that is worth remembering or worth holding on to. I know it isn't easy, and neither is it easy to ask people out or try to keep this relationship living.
Everyone's disappearing one by one. And by the time we really start working, everyone will have little time for each other. Making new friends, forgetting the old. It's really sad that people don't treasure these friendships and relationships. And by the time we get married, we'll be spending time with our spouses more than anyone else. Getting married may be a opportunity to see who you actually invite to your big day. And when we have children. Friendship that has no lock to lock the chains together will just pop like bubbles in the air. And by that time, it will be that handful of really close friends that you will meet for family gatherings.
This post sounds sad man. But, yea, that's what I am feeling now....

Imagine not sleeping for 24hrs after some jamming, eating, drinking, MJ. Yes, that's what I did on friday evening till saturday morning. Then it was home for 5hours of sleep and then down to M Hotel to do an event shoot for NTU Hall 16 Dinner & Dance.
Legs like jelly after not playing the drums for a year and after all that dry swimming, my camera seemed like a ton to me. Dinner, but no dance though. ha. More of a pagent going on. Shan't talk more. Here's some pictures.

Waking up at almost 1pm, reading the papers, and then I went to clear the huge mess in my room. It was so dusty I couldn't stop sneezing. (I'm really sensitive to dust FYI) Exams are over, but I just feel so dead, perhaps I need a few days to gain my energy back. In fact, I don't feel like blogging.
Speaking about exams, they were crazy, I'm just hoping to pass them all. But I'm kinda prepared to retake 1 or 2 modules next year. =X Spending lots of money on food, starbucks everyday, was rather crazy given that I am spending all these money to study? Crap. At least I had SJ and Cher to study with throughout my exams. Love them big time!
And as of next week, I'm officially on 10(ten) weeks of BREAK!!! FYI, it has been a year since I had a proper break. And I'm trying to plan what I should really use my time for this 10 weeks I have. If any of you guys have some good job lobangs to intro to me, please let me know. =D I'm not gonna work everyday for sure because I wanna do things I love doing, and spending time with people I have yet to see for eons!
As of tomorrow, this is what I am planning to do:
Friday(22/8): Fireworks shoot at night!
Saturday(23/8): Pagent shoot for NTU @ M-Hotel
And following, this are some things I will be planning to do:
1. Meet up with my loves I have not seen for eons.
2. Go to sentosa with someone who wants to come along. ha.
3. Start painting shoes which have already been ordered.
4. Do up a physical portfolio album
5. Plan out my next business idea (looking for interested people to join my team).
6. Start to plan out my website(s).
7. Get a romantic getaway (possible? ha.)
8. I shall continue with the list as I think of what to do...

One paper down, 3 to go. It's been study, study, study these past 2 days. From Coffeebean to Starbucks. Been studying with Aaron & SJ. Had the biggest cup of coffee in my entire life today! Ordered a venti of black coffee.
I've been feeling so frustrated, trying so hard to remember theory which I'm pretty bad at. On the other hand, I've been dreaming weird stuff this week. Dreaming about things I've never thought about, about the people I've not met for ages. I guess it's telling me that I've got some important stuff to do after exams. Yes, I've been thinking about what I should be doing after my papers even though I have 3 more to go.
You know, it can be really frustrating when you do not get a reply you've been anxiously waiting for. Why can't people just reply. Why must there be a breakdown of communications despite having IT in our lives. I'm so distracted I sometimes loose heart of what I am doing.
Alrights, shall go do a little bit more of reading before I try my very best to put myself to sleep. It's a 9am paper and it will be STUDY STUDY STUDY the entire day right after the paper. =(

I think I just can't stop myself from blogging though I keep saying it's the last post, it's the last post. ha. Had a little shoot today with my cat and my neighbour's rabbit. Who says rabbits and cats can't be friends? =D
From apart, they see each other.
why stop each other from being friends? =D
A cat who thinks she's hiding, and no one can see her...
Gets found out reading the recruits while hunting. ha
I spotted some ants eating algae? =X
And it's one of those days during the hungry ghost festival that people start polluting the air =X

Studying hard? Maybe not. I keep getting distracted every now and then. I guess I really can't study at home with the computer, the bed, food; they're just getting me distracted. At least I've managed to write my notes for almost all my modules except Purchasing and Procurement which I really do not know where to start from.
Based on all my experiences, getting too stressed and tensed up ain't good for me! Especially when it comes to sitting for the actual paper. I guess, relaxing, reading through my notes at leisure, and not trying so hard to memorize everything works better for me.
I've been munching on loads of tibits as I study, downing BIG glasses of drinks all the time, and that results with me going to the toilet again and again and... again. My first paper is studying on Friday afternoon, which leaves me with tomorrow and Friday morning to chiong really hard. I always set my alarm at 8.15am, but somehow, I always end up waking up at almost 11! =X Someone give me a wake up call tomorrow =D
Anyways, care to guess what this weird looking thing is? ha.

Party at Blk 176 Woodlands St 13 once again. Today, we celebrated Singapore's birthday as well as my grandpa's birthday! Had Nasi Lemak for dinner(best in Singapore) and lots of other stuff. To cut the story short, here's some pictures. ha. I'm tired and lazy now. =D

09.08.08 - Singapore's 43rd Birthday. Spent the entire day at home, going to cheryl's house in the evening for her some 'alcoholic party'. Brought a bottle of wine and my concoction of 'screw it' =D It certainly is the most funniest partiest I have been to. Seeing so many red faces, people talking crap, o boy. Everyone seemed drunk in some way or another. Me? I was really really tired, and I don't know why. BBQ in the house was fun! At least nothing got burnt down. lol.
Played some MJ which didn't seem exciting at all. lol. look at the birthday gal's cake, it's spongebob! Our birthday girl must have been too touched she couldn't stop her tears from flowing. lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHER! LOVE YOU LOADS!
Remember my earlier post(s) talking about the getai infront of my house? Well, it ain't a getai but those 7th month dinner and auction thing. Managed to capture some shots of it.

School was quite a waste of time today given that nothing really productive was done or learnt. Went over to Fish & Co. at Douby Ghout after school for our class outing(lunch). Had the usual New York Fish and Chips + Soup(tasted great) + Passion Fruit drink. After all that stuff, went down to city link for a short walked. And that ended up with me buying a CD, 'Best 2008'. Songs in there are totally the clubbing feel. I just love blasting songs, feeling the bass in my room these days. =X Well, for those who do not know me well, I have a fascination of sound and speakers. I would love to fill my room with speakers. =D Well, blasting music really allows you to somehow go high, forgetting the crappy stuff.
Tomorrow's 08.08.08 and yup, my neighbour's getting married. Gonna have some fun time shooting another wedding. Went over to blow some balloons earlier(with a vacuum =D)
Getai? It's taking shape. ha. I believe it will be starting tomorrow. =X

Getai @ Blk 176 Woodlands St 13? There you have it! The first time in 14 years. I think the stage won't be facing us. At least the noise would be going the other way.
I went down earlier, and my neighbour was saying he spoke to the RC chairman who came by this morning regarding the ge tai. Even the RC chairman knows block 176 as the group who comes as one BIG group when we make a complain. lol. So my neighbour was telling them that should the stage be facing us, it would be like facing his house directly(you can totally watch everything from his house). So he told the RC chairman that if they weren't going to shift the stage setting, they were gonna have to move the entire tent horizontally when we go down. So much for some feng shuiwhich they said was the reason why it was like that. Well, in the end, it's been shifted.
The pictures on the top show the entrance in the front right, now it's shifted to the side. =D

The heat's getting into me each night as I try to put myself to sleep. And as a result, I sleep late, perspire when I sleep and that finally results to lack of sleep, feeling real tired the next day, blood shot eyes, being unable to think properly. And today, I decided not to go to school, given my dead condition.
Instead, I went out with my parents and grandpa to Vivo for lunch. Had Sushi Teh given that we had some $60 worth of vouchers. Walked a bit, went to Tangs, went looking at knives, wine glasses, and I finally bought myself a wine chiller! Like after looking for a nice cheap one for so long.
And after all that walking, I went to my grandpa's house to study. And ended up taking a short nap. lol. At least I did some studying. Found a bottle of Wine at my grandpa's house as well. A few bottles of ancient XO which he says he's gonna open to drink them. =D Brought the wine home for my grandpa's birthday celebration on Sunday.
My SE phone cam is just so good you can see the words so clearly when you zoom all the way in. =D
And that's the Riesling! =D
This is an update of my 'stash' =D The drawer is so heavy it's draggin itself against the cupboard =X
Had dinner with my grandpa and home is was at about 815pm.
Upon reaching home, I saw some workers building this tent in front of my block, and guess what, they're building this huge tent for the ge tai. FAINTS! Just imagine the amount of noise there's gonna be every night! On the other hand, I've already thought of shooting a series on the hungry ghost festival this year. And with that, I guess, I won't need to travel around anymore. ha. But just imagine the noise, smell, smoke, pollution. =X It's the first time in 14 years ever since I lived here that they had one IN FRONT OF MY BLOCK! TOTALLY AMAZING.
And I'm having some problems with myself now. I seem to be rushing with whatever I've been doing ever since I came home. I really don't know why. =/

If there's something I enjoy doing almost everyday, that would be enjoying the breeze down my block with all my neighbours of block 176, Woodlands St 13. Yes, it's the best neighbourhood is Singapore I believe, after all, we've appeared in the Straits Times, front page. And during this month when we celebrate our Nation's birthday, we have lots of celebrations and parties, from a wedding on 080808 to birthday parties every week. I feel so blessed, having such a wonderful neighbourhood 99.99999% of Singaporeans don't get to experience.
I've decided that I should start a blog specially to talk about my block of people and to talk about the live of Singaporeans. Boy, I just love to write. I couldn't stop myself from writing this post in fact.
Had a birthday celebration earlier, and well, the main discussion topic today was about the town council sending us letters regarding the hanging of clothes outside our houses. FYI, when we make a complain or anything, we go down by the dozens for the meet the MP session.
Stay tuned for the blog of block 176. It will be something really worth reading though.... =D

The highlight of the day would be a Malay wedding I went to for lunch. Boy, it was the best Malay wedding I've been to, not that I've been for many, but this one was held at Fuchun CC, badminton hall. With the heat, thank goodness there was air-conditioning. Food was great too! Take a look at the throne, it really is beautiful and extravagent. Must have cost a bomb too. ha. With my itchy fingers, I had to snap a couple of shots. =P
Here's a bottle of white I bought yesterday at NTUC finest. =X I knew I had to get it the moment I landed my eyes on it. =D
And so for this week, it'll be study, study, study. Hopefully. ha. Then weekends would be festive celebrations with a wedding on friday, national day on saturday AND birthday celebrations on Sunday! Wonder if I am gonna really study for my upcoming exams. =X

It's the first day of August, and yup, it's my bff's birthday. School didn't seem too good, but the night out with my bff was certainly enjoyable. Went over to raffles city, had dinner at cafe cartel and off we went to Swissotel the Stamford. We went all the way to the 70th floor! You certainly can feel the pressure as you take the lift up. The lift is certainly like some bullet lift. Goes up really fast. Headed to a bar called City Space on the Equinox Complex. Really a nice and romantic place. Of course, the greatest experience would be the breath taking view over seeing the entire city.
I believe if you go over to dine at Equinox, the view would be even better. From our side, we could see boat quay, clark quay, all the way to PS and more. But over at the restaurent, you would be able to see marina, the Singapore flyer, esplanade, etc.
Here's some pictures! =D This was the best I could take given that I was using my compact handheld, along with some really bad lighting.
This picture was purposely shaken when I took it. I mean anyone can do that. ha. Of course, I shook it in a certain way, and the outcome is just what I wanted. Love the effect it gives. Somehow, it's like a painting being lit up.
Had a sour apple martini to drink which was pretty nice. Really enjoyed myself tonight. It's been quite some time since I was able to just chill and relax, plus have my bff with me. =D
Should you have a chance, do visit that place. Would be good to bring your bf/gf there. ha. Nights!
